Scripture is clear that we are the temple of God:

2 Corinthians 6:16-17

16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
17 "Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate," says the Lord. "And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

17 If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

Also, it is clear from these passages that we are not to defile the place of God’s habitation. Note the parts of the above passages now underlined:

Since we know that God does not change (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8) then we know that what God calls “unclean” and an “abomination” does not change, either. Therefore, if believers put into His temple what God terms “unclean,” “abominable” then we submit to you that just as the Temple would have been defiled, so is YOUR temple “defiled.”

The question is, do you believe that abominations to God change? (I.e. idolatry, homosexuality, building temples to other gods, lying, abortion, evil plans, wicked rulers, pride, adultery, for example.)

If not, then don’t defile your temple. Don’t eat what God tells you to not even TOUCH.

            "And do not touch what is unclean;

           And I will welcome you.
