Why keep the torah?

Because:

1) to love and keep the torah (the “law”) is to love Y’shua/Jesus; He is the Word (John 1:1-5).

2) Y’shua came as an example of how the torah was to be lived (1 John 2:6) so that we would know how to live pleasingly before Yahweh (God’s name).

3) We are told that Y’shua kept the torah perfectly, making Him the only man without sin (since sin is torahlessness/lawlessness, 1 John 3:4), and

4) that we are to be like Him (WWJD? - Acts 21:17-26; Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 1:3-4; 4:1-6; 4:20-24; 5:1-2; 5:8-9; Philippians 1:10-11; 2:5-8; 3:12-15; Colossians 1:10; 2:6-7; 3:17; 1 Thessalonians 2:12; 4:1-2; Hebrews 12:2-3; 1 John 1: 6-7; 2:6).

Yet somehow “Christians” miss that to be “Christ-like” necessitates that they also follow the instructions of torah, just as Jesus/Y'shua did. Why is that? Doesn't the Bible give the above instructions?

Perhaps it is because we’ve all been so brainwashed by the teachings of men that have come down throughout history instead of really looking at and following what Yahweh said.

Now that Yahweh is revealing this information to His followers, perhaps it’s time to re-evaluate what we’ve always been taught and always thought in light of the Word of the Living God.
